How to get the current index of a ListPicker on a WinRT application using XAML/C#
I need to get the current selected index of a ListPicker on a WinRT application.
The ListPicker is in a Grid. I have tried with
var grid = (Grid)VisualTreeHelpers.FindChild(this, "Grid1") as Grid;
But grid is null. I could not find any properties of ListPicker, to get the index of the ListPicker.
A:
To get the SelectedIndex property of a ListPicker, use ListPicker.SelectedIndex.
If you want to get the text value of the currently selected item in the ListPicker, use ListPicker.SelectedItem.
If you're getting null on VisualTreeHelpers.FindChild(this, "Grid1"), then try using FindVisualChild instead.
Q:
Angular 4 - Context inside child component
This is my main component that has a Context of Users. I want to use this context inside UserDetails component.
export class AppComponent implements OnInit {
Users: any[] = [];
constructor(private UserService: UserService) { }
ngOnInit() {
this.UserService.getUsers().subscribe(data => this.Users = data);
}
}
I'm accessing Users inside UserDetails like this
export class UserDetailsComponent implements OnInit {
constructor(private userService: UserService, private Users: any) {
}
ngOnInit() {
}
}
But Users is always null.
A:
Its because your users are being injected into your UserDetails component, but only after the component has been init.
